How to join 3DL

Undergraduate students

3DL collaborates closely with undergraduate students at the University of Chicago. Many of our undergraduate alumni have gone on to prestigious Ph.D. programs and leading companies (see our Alumni list for details). If you are interested in joining our group, please review this guide for everything you need to get started (UChicago email login required).

M.Sc. students

3DL works with pre-doctoral masters students, which is a research-oriented masters program. For more information, see here.

Ph.D. students

We are recruiting Ph.D. students for the upcoming application cycle! Application deadline for the Ph.D. program in CS is December 11, see here for more information and the link to apply.

Postdoctoral Scholars

Prospective postdocs are encouraged to email Rana directly to express their interest in working with 3DL. We also recruit Postdoctoral Scholars through the Data Science Institute (DSI) Postdoctoral Fellowship Program. If you apply to the DSI program and would like to work with 3DL, please email Rana as well to let her know of your application and research interests. DSI fellows are based in Chicago and participate in a wide range of activities as a cohort (such as seminar series, workshops, bootcamp training sessions, etc.) while receiving guidance from dedicated mentoring teams.
